TORX TRUSS WASHER PAN HEAD PLASTIC-FIX SCREWS WAWE THREAD FLAT POINT
The KLT Plastic-Fix 30 ° screw is the universal screw we have made for various types of thermoplastic materials. The 30 ° thread allows minimal screwing efforts with consequent reduction of heating of the material on which the product is used. This peculiarity of the screw allows to create a suitable seat to achieve an optimal seal even in the presence of thermoplastic materials heavily loaded with fiberglass or carbon. On softer materials the flow of plastic that is directed into the profile of the stem guarantees a self-locking function, and this happens thanks to the particular profile of the truncated cone core. It is proven that screws with threads of higher grades (such as the typical 40 ° of the chipboard and the 60 ° of the self-tapping, even if with trilobate profiles) do not have the same mechanical characteristics as this screw. Threads with profiles at 20 ° -25 ° rather than innovative, as they are often defined, are extremely harmful in that they can create breaking triggers in products particularly loaded with fiber; moreover, the profile of the crest of these screws does not have the same sealing capacity as that of 30 °, as it is too thin and not very resistant to tearing and stress. Plastic-Fix screws are able to adapt perfectly to the high expansions due to temperature variations which this type of material can undergo.
The use of Torx allows to transmit a higher tightening torque than other impressions. It is a universal type of impression, unlike the specific ones that are used in the various countries of the world (cross, philips, pozi, slotted, square impressions and so on). Torx is particularly suitable for diameters from 4 upwards; applying it on smaller diameters is not particularly recommended as the reduced depth of the impression with respect to a cross can create problems during assembly. Precisely for this reason, if they are not mounted perfectly in line with the holes and with the screwdriver, the insert could escape from the screw seat.
The half-round head with the fake washer favors a wider sealing surface, while the low profile and without edges makes them particularly suitable for "visible" applications.
The length of the screw is measured from the tip to the underhead.
